Annie Face In This Issue

As I wrote last month, I've been rethinking my rather insane traveling schedule. I'll still be making in person teaching trips, but not as many as I have been.

I've spent much of November and December getting a few online classes together, and I'm extremely pleased with the level of instruction I'll be able to offer.  The first class I'll offer will be Combination Knitting.  Here are the details:

Class Combination Knitting
The full month of January.  There will be additional classes running during the month of February and March
Access You'll have 24/7 access to all class materials for the full month of your class.
Materials A blend of videos, mp3 lectures and pdf file handouts will be available.  Please note, these items are copyrighted for the students own personal use and are not to be shared with non class members.
Live Interaction I'll schedule 2-3 chats per week, and will be active in the discussion forums to answer any questions as they arise
Cost $50 for the Jaunary class, $65 for the February and March classes.
SPECIAL - Until Jan 1 register for any future Combination Class for $50, the price rises on January 1!
Size The January class is limited to 15 students.  Feb and March classes will have more participants.

I've set up a series of networks at ning.com, if you join my Online Teaching Network there (it's free!) you can stay up to date on any new classes I post, or discounts I offer.

If you already know you want to sign up,visit anniemodesitt.com/onlineclasses to register right away (use code "ning" for 15% off the January class price!)

This will be terrific for many folks who've wanted to take a class with me, but weren't able to.  I'm anticipating adding some project classes and more technique classes.
La Dolce Knit, Sept 2010

Christmas is a few days away, perhaps you could print out this newsletter and leave , arranged by Tactile Travel.

We meet at Rome Fiumicino airport for the short ride into the hills above the Eternal City. Leisurely days are filled with sightseeing, knitting, and classes.

In addition to my classes, guests will also receive a collection of yarns inspired by the Castelli Romani to use in your swatches and creations during the week. We will enjoy these fibers and skills in all kinds of settings: in local vineyards, exploring the Landiana garden, sitting at the top of the Tuscolo ampitheater or relaxing in Castel Gandolfo.

Just south of Rome, the Castelli Romani (Roman Castles) have been a favorite of the Romans and Popes. The hillsides are dotted with Papal villas dating from medieval to modern times. Views of Rome with sunsets sparkling off the sea beyond are the perfect way to end each day in the Castelli Romani.

September is a time of grape harvest and the bounty of late summer fruits and vegetables. We will enjoy classic Roman cooking and taste creative twists on the tradition.

Next Year in Stirling

I'll be teaching at Stirling for Knit Camp UK Aug 9 - 13.  I'd love to see you there!  Registration is opening up, and from what I've heard it seems the classes will be filling up quickly.

I'm also anticipating a trip to Ireland in the Spring with my family, and I may try to do a bit of lecturing / teaching while I'm in the country, if I can set it up!
